Projects and Privatisation

Ravinder is a senior associate in AMJ’s corporate and commercial department and a member of the firm’s projects and privatisation team. Ravinder has particular expertise advising leading national and international clients in the power and water, infrastructure, construction, real estate and development, mining and telecommunications sectors.

Ravinder is qualified to practice law before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Prior to joining AMJ in 2012, he worked for a leading law firm in India. Ravinder is mentioned in the Legal 500, 2014, as ‘a young, energetic lawyer – one to watch’.

Representative transactions include:

  • acting for bidders, on a non-exclusive basis, for the development, financing, design, engineering, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of Ibri/Sohar IPP, Al Ghubrah IWP, Al Qurayyat IWP, Barka/Sohar IWP and Salalah II IPP;
  • acting for Wärtsilä, a global leader in power solutions for the marine and energy markets in respect of the engineering, procurement and construction contract and the operations and maintenance agreement for the 50 MW Musandam IPP;
  • acting for Vestas Mediterranean in respect of the engineering, procurement and construction contract and the operations and maintenance agreement for the 50 MW Harweel wind farm project;
  • advising the lender’s international counsel in connection with US$5 billion financing of a natural gas processing plant in Fahud, a 300 kilometers gas pipeline from Fahud to Sohar, an 800 KTPA steam cracker, downstream units and related utilities and offsite units;
  • advising CFE Rock S.A., a Luxemburg-based, specialised civil and marine infrastructure contractor with regard to the development of a quarry for the production and supply of rock and aggregates in the Musandam Governorate of Oman;
