Managing Partner received an LLB in 1982 from the University of Hull, UK and admitted to practice as barrister at law, Inns of Court (member of Lincolns Inn) before moving to the Sultanate of Oman in 1986. Mr. M. J. Malik specialises in international transactions involving a diverse range of clients, and projects. He has dealt with arbitration, banking, commercial, construction, international corporate and project finance, mergers and acquisitions, privatisation in the power and infrastructure sector, telecommunications and civil aviation sector, insurance, listing of companies and securities and Islamic law matters. Alasdair Jeffrey
Senior Solicitor, graduated from the University of Glasgow, UK in 1961. Has extensive international and local experience in all general commercial matters including transnational corporate and commercial experience in Oman where he was managing partner of the Muscat branch of Denton Wilde Sapte (formerly Fox and Gibbons) from 1989 to 2002. In UK he was a partner in the large Scottish firm Biggart Baillie and Gifford before founding Dorman Jeffrey & Co in Glasgow. He brings vast experience to the firm having acted for numerous international companies over many years. He is a Notary Public and a Government appointed attester, and a member of the Supreme Court.

Marcus Pery

received his LLM from the London School of
Economics in 1984. Mr. Khan was called to the
Bar of England and Wales in 1983 being a member
of Middle Temple and in 1991 he was admitted to
the Law Society of England as Solicitor. Prior
to legal practice, Mr. Khan worked for a bank in
the United Kingdom wherein he advised clients on
a diverse range of areas including foreign
exchange dealing, placement of funds, loans,
investments and guarantees. He has extensive
experience in banking law, civil and criminal
litigation with an emphasis on fraud. Other

real estate, commercial contract.

Dr. Said
Hilal Al Busaidy
Partner,
graduated from the Al Azhar University in Egypt
with an LLB in 1979, he received his Masters in
Law from the University of Cairo, Egypt in 1981
and a Doctorate in General Law from the
University of Sorbonne, France in 1991. Dr. Al
Busaidy started his career as a legal adviser
with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February
1, 1979 until February 13, 1984; whereafter he
was appointed as a Judge and Deputy President of
the Magistrates Court of the Sultanate of Oman
from February 14, 1984 until February 1, 1985
and elevated to the position of the President of
the Magistrates Court, Sultanate of Oman on
February 2, 1985 at which position he remained
until June 1, 2001. From June 2, 2001 Dr Al
Busaidy was made a Judge and the Deputy
President of the newly established High Court of
Oman from which position he retired on March 26,
2002. Dr. Al Busaidy has represented the
Government of Oman at various international
forums, and participated in the negotiation of
bilateral and multilateral treaties for and on
behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of
Oman.

Zealand. Mr. Ward currently specialises in

Ibrahim Allam
Senior Associate, graduated from University of
Mansoora, Egypt in 1991 and obtained LLM in 1994.
Thereafter obtained PhD from Zagazig University in
2004. Dr Mohammed brings extensive experience to
our firm having previously worked as manager of
one of the leading firms in Egypt from 1991 to
2005. He is a member of the Egyptian Association
of Political Economy, Statistics and Legislation
and is also a member of the Arab Advocate
Association. He has a number of publications
following his research into the roles of
Substantive Law and Islamic Sharia Law. It is
worth mentioning that Dr Mohammed Yousef Ibrahim
Allam is specialised in the field of
administrative litigation and he appeared before
Administrative Courts in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and
is currently handling all administrative cases
assigned to the firm in the Sultanate of Oman.
