    Ahmed is a Partner in AMJ’s corporate/regulatory practice and is licensed to undertake litigation before the appeal court of Oman.

    Ahmed is a member of the corporate commercial and regulatory department of the Firm and has a broad range of experience in advising on regulatory matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, corporate regulatory, i.e. conducting, EGM/OGMs share transfers, registration of corporate vehicles, registration of security interests, etc with the concerned regulatory authorities, corporate restructurings, real estate matters, initial public offerings and the planning and development of major infrastructure projects. Ahmed has more recently advised on the reorganization and restructuring of the Muscat Securities Market as a standalone corporate vehicle in the name Muscat Bourse Company SAOC.

Highlights
  • Advised Oman Investment Authority in connection with the establishment of the Muscat Bourse Co SAOC and the transfer to it of all assets, rights, duties and obligations earlier held by the Muscat Securities Market;
  • Acting as legal advisor to closed and public joint stock companies and in particular assisting such companies in the convening and conduct of their ordinary general meetings and extra-ordinary general meetings.
