Faiz is a member of the firm’s Corporate/ Commercial practice. He has significant expertise in company formation, liquidation, joint ventures, drafting and negotiating shareholders agreements, sale and purchase agreements, agency agreement, securities documentation and other contractual documentation. He advises foreign investors on all aspects of establishing and running their businesses in the Sultanate of Oman which includes all labour related issues, Oman labour law, drafting of employment contracts, employment manuals, advising on work permits/visas and Omanisation.

Highlights

Assisted a UAE based medical company on its 100% acquisition of shares in an Omani healthcare company;
Advised a pharmaceutical company on distribution of Covid-19 vaccines in Oman;
Acted for a leading Hotel chain for incorporation of 100% foreign owned company in Oman including but not limited to advising on all issues related to the management of the Company, employment contracts, issuance of visas, contracts of services and issues of secondment of staff;
Incorporated a foreign branch of a Turkish Company who had entered into a government contract for operation of duty free shops and restaurants at Salalah Airport;
Advised a leading distributor of frozen food products in relation to a multi-million dollar cross-border a publicly listed Brazilian company in two phases;
Acted for a Portuguese company engaged on behalf of government entity to conduct waste management and public cleaning services in South Al Sharqiyah region;
Advising local and international corporate clients with regard Omani Labour laws, reviewing and drafting contractual documents and Human Resources Manual, providing legal opinions and advising on termination of employment contracts;
Advising clients on intellectual property rights and registration of the same.
